How ProDirectional Uses Financial Intelligence to Drive Drilling Performance
At ProDirectional, finance is not a back-office function. It is a real-time decision engine that supports how we deploy capital into directional drilling, MWD technology, automation platforms, and fleet expansion across Texas.
Under Andrew’s leadership, ProDirectional has built a modern financial control system designed specifically for high-intensity oilfield operations. This includes real-time cost tracking across rigs, technology investment modeling for tools like MWD and RSS systems, and forecasting models that allow leadership to make faster, more accurate deployment decisions.
By combining Power BI reporting with operational data from field operations, Andrew’s team provides visibility into:
-
Cost per well and per lateral
-
Tool utilization and asset ROI
-
Rig and crew performance trends
-
Capital efficiency across technology platforms
This financial intelligence ensures that ProDirectional continues to invest in the right drilling technologies, maintain operational discipline, and scale without sacrificing reliability or service quality.
Supporting ProDirectional’s Technology and Automation Strategy
As ProDirectional continues to expand its in-house engineering, MWD, and automation platforms, financial governance plays a critical role in determining where capital is deployed.
Andrew’s systems enable leadership to evaluate investments in:
-
Remote operations and automation
-
High-performance MWD and telemetry platforms
-
Advanced directional drilling tools
-
Engineering and software development
This allows ProDirectional to remain technology-forward while maintaining the financial controls required for long-term sustainability in the oilfield.
Why Financial Leadership Matters in Directional Drilling
Directional drilling and measurement-while-drilling operations require constant capital reinvestment in tools, electronics, software, and people. Without strong financial leadership, service quality and innovation slow down.
Andrew’s role ensures that ProDirectional can continue delivering reliable drilling performance, investing in new technology, and supporting our customers with the systems they need to drill faster, safer, and more efficiently.
