ProPower Performance Across Five Wells: 97,000+ Feet Drilled

Pro Directional deployed its ProPower motor platform across a five-well program, drilling five production sections with vertical, curve, and lateral rotary steerable system (RSS) bottomhole assemblies (BHAs). Each well used one ProPower motor.
One Motor Per Well
On one well, the crew pulled out of hole for a bit change, then re-ran the same motor to continue drilling. That well maintained the program’s one-motor-per-well approach despite the additional trip.
The motor re-run provides a practical example of equipment performance beyond the headline footage and drilling rate.
Performance Results
The five-well program recorded:
- 5 production sections drilled
- 97,000+ total feet drilled
- 432 ft/hr average production rate of penetration
- 100% ProPower motor platform
- 0 reported nonproductive time (NPT)
Total footage reflects the overall drilling program, while the average production ROP measures drilling speed in the production sections.
