What are Octane and OctaneXT MWD systems?

Octane and OctaneXT are rugged MWD systems built by ProDirectional to operate reliably in the most extreme drilling conditions. Octane is rated up to 175 °C while OctaneXT can handle temperatures up to 195 °C.

These systems deliver stability in high temperature wells ProDirectional has drilled more U.S. wells above 320 °F than any other provider, ensuring strong performance in the harshest conditions.

Octane systems include proprietary shock and vibration mitigation, simplified component architecture, rigorous maintenance, and pre deployment evaluation protocols to ensure consistent tool readiness.

In one run, OctaneXT remained active for 184 hours with 146 hours of circulation while withstanding temperatures around 374 °F demonstrating durability in extreme lateral drilling.
